1. Information We Access
1.1 Personally Identifiable Information
Day Agenda does not collect personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, account credentials, or user profile information. The app does not require account creation.
1.2 Calendar and Reminders
With your permission, Day Agenda accesses your device’s calendars and reminders to display, organize, and manage your schedule. This may include calendar events, reminders, tasks, invitations, recurring events, birthdays, calendar names, event locations, notes, URLs, attendees, reminder priorities, due dates, completion status, and travel-time related information provided by Apple’s EventKit framework.
Day Agenda uses this information to power features such as your daily agenda, selected calendar filtering, reminder lists, invitation handling, birthday notifications, upcoming event alerts, travel-aware timing, and optional event or reminder creation.
Calendar and reminder data remains stored locally on your device, except when limited context is sent as part of a planning, summary, or AI-powered request that you explicitly initiate.
1.3 Health Data
With your permission, Day Agenda may access Apple HealthKit data to display health, wellness, and activity information inside the app. This may include:
- Activity summary data, including move, exercise, and stand
- Steps and walking or running distance
- Hourly step and distance summaries
- Workouts, including duration, calories, distance, and heart rate summaries
- Sleep samples, sleep schedule, sleep stages, sleep duration, and sleep score
- Mindfulness minutes
- Water intake
- Time in daylight
- Heart rate, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability
- Respiratory rate
- Blood oxygen saturation
- Sleeping wrist temperature
- Overnight vitals trends and baseline comparisons
Day Agenda may also request permission to write limited data back to HealthKit when you choose to log it in the app, including mindfulness sessions and water intake.
Health data is used to power local app features such as activity widgets, sleep insights, vitals summaries, trends, wellness goals, mindfulness tracking, hydration tracking, and contextual planning.
We do not sell HealthKit data or use it for advertising, marketing, or data mining purposes.
1.4 Location Data
We use your location to provide weather conditions, sun and moon timing, tide information, water temperature, travel estimates, and context-aware scheduling features. Location data is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers.
For tide and water temperature features, Day Agenda may use your location locally to determine the nearest NOAA tide station. Tide and water temperature requests are then made using station information, not your personal identity.
1.5 Ambient Sounds and Media
Ambient sound preferences and playback activity may be stored locally on your device to support app functionality. No audio is recorded or transmitted.
1.6 Widgets, Control Center, and Live Activities
Day Agenda may provide Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets, Control Center actions, and Live Activities. Live Activities are limited to next-up event information and are not designed to show events already in progress. These surfaces use the same permissions and local data sources as the main app, such as calendar events, reminders, timers, weather, health summaries, and relevant daily context.
Widget, Control Center, and Live Activity data is processed primarily on your device and may be cached locally so these surfaces can update quickly. Information shown on your Lock Screen, Home Screen, Dynamic Island, or Control Center may be visible to people who can see or access your device.
1.7 Apple Watch, iPad, Mac Catalyst, and iCloud Snapshot
Day Agenda may be available on iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac through Mac Catalyst. Some platform-specific features, permissions, and data sources may differ between devices and operating systems, including iOS, watchOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
To support the Mac experience, Day Agenda may use Apple iCloud or CloudKit to sync a limited app-generated snapshot through your personal iCloud account. This snapshot may include selected schedule and reminder context, next-up event information, calendar or reminder list labels, app preferences, and derived display state needed to render Day Agenda on Mac.
The iCloud snapshot is used to keep the Mac Catalyst app reasonably current and is not intended to be a complete backup of your app data. Snapshot data may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable depending on iCloud status, network availability, platform permissions, and device sync behavior. Day Agenda does not use iCloud snapshot data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
1.8 Intelligent Summaries, AI Planning, and Provider Options
Day Agenda includes intelligent summary and planning features. These features may use different provider options depending on your settings, device support, subscription status, and feature availability.
The Day Agenda provider uses built-in local logic and optional cloud-assisted processing operated by Day Agenda to generate planning suggestions, scheduling assistance, recommendations, and contextual productivity insights.
The Apple Intelligence provider uses Apple Foundation Models on supported devices and operating systems. When available, this processing is performed on device through Apple’s system frameworks.
Optional third-party summary providers may include ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. These providers use cloud-based APIs from OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic when you choose to connect your own API key for the selected provider. Third-party summaries are generated only when you explicitly select or use that provider.
API keys you provide for OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Anthropic Claude are stored securely on your device using Apple platform security features. Day Agenda does not sell your API keys, use them for advertising, or use them for unrelated purposes.
When using ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude as a summary provider, limited contextual information required to generate the summary may be securely transmitted to the selected provider using the API key you provide. Day Agenda planning features use Day Agenda’s own provider infrastructure and do not use your third-party API keys.
Depending on the feature and selected provider, the context used for summaries or planning may include:
- Event and reminder titles
- Dates, start times, end times, due dates, and completion status
- Calendar and reminder list context
- Schedule gaps, current schedule state, upcoming events, and travel timing
- Weather summaries, alerts, daylight, sun, moon, tide, or location-derived context
- Optional wellness summaries, such as sleep, recovery, activity, steps, mindfulness, daylight exposure, hydration, workouts, vitals, or trends
ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude requests occur only when you explicitly select or use the optional provider. Day Agenda does not use this information for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
1.9 Flight Information
If you use flight-related features, Day Agenda may transmit flight identifiers, travel dates, airport codes, and related query details through our proxy infrastructure to FlightAware to retrieve flight status, schedule, gate, terminal, delay, route, and live tracking information.
Flight information is used only to display relevant travel context inside the app.
1.10 Quotes and Historical Events
Day Agenda may request quote content from ZenQuotes and historical “On This Day” content from Wikipedia. These requests are used to display lightweight contextual content in the app.
Quote and historical event responses may be cached locally on your device to reduce repeated network requests.
1.11 Crash and Analytics Data
We may receive limited anonymous crash reports and basic analytics through tools such as Apple App Analytics and Apple crash reporting. These reports are used strictly to improve app performance, reliability, and stability.
- Device type and operating system version
- App usage patterns
- Crash logs
- Performance diagnostics
This diagnostic information does not include personally identifiable information.
2. How We Use Your Information
Information accessed by Day Agenda is used solely to support app features, including event display, reminder management, weather, tides, water temperature, flight status, contextual quotes, historical events, health and wellness insights, focus tools, productivity features, Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets, Control Center actions, Live Activities for next-up events, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac Catalyst support, iCloud snapshot sync for Mac, intelligent summaries, provider-based AI features, AI-powered planning assistance, and app performance improvements.
We do not:
- Sell personal information
- Share personal information with advertisers
- Build advertising profiles
- Use your data for cross-app tracking
3. Data Storage and Security
Most app data remains stored locally on your device and is protected using Apple platform security features and system-level encryption where applicable. We do not maintain centralized servers containing your personal calendar, health, reminder, or location data.
Some derived health summaries, such as vitals history, baselines, goals, hydration entries, and sleep preferences, may be stored locally on your device to support app functionality.
Cached content such as quotes, historical events, tide data, water temperature data, and related feature responses may be stored locally on your device to improve performance and reduce repeated network requests.
When using Day Agenda on Mac, a limited snapshot may be stored in your personal iCloud account through Apple iCloud or CloudKit so the Mac Catalyst app can display selected Day Agenda context. This snapshot is controlled by your iCloud account and Apple’s iCloud infrastructure, and may sync across devices signed in to the same Apple account.
When flight-related features are used, limited flight identifiers, airport codes, travel dates, and related query details may be transmitted through our proxy infrastructure to retrieve flight status, schedule, gate, terminal, delay, route, and live tracking information.
When Day Agenda cloud-assisted planning features are used, limited contextual information may be securely transmitted through Day Agenda infrastructure only as needed to fulfill the request.
When an optional third-party summary provider such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude is used, limited contextual information required to generate the summary may be securely transmitted to the selected provider using the API key you provide. API keys provided by users are stored securely on-device and are not used for unrelated purposes.
Apple Intelligence processing, when available, uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models on supported devices and operating systems.
